Our House
Our home is a comfortable bungalow. It celebrates the early 20th century featuring high ceilings, spacious rooms, and gleaming hardwood floors. We have furnished the Candlewick Inn with treasured family heirlooms, including antiques and handmade quilts.
You may relax on the front porch, wander through a garden, or pick a
book from the Inn Library. If you wish to have a pot of tea or coffee
before you head off to bed in the evening, we’ll certainly prepare
it for you. The local papers are also delivered daily for your convenience.
One thing that distinguishes The Candlewick Inn is the wonderful breakfast
that is included with your reservation. You’ll be served a full-scale
homemade breakfast each morning. Expect to see freshly baked bread, specialty
butters, and a variety of other unique recipes at the table. Open the
French doors off the dining room to enter a stone-walled patio; weather
permitting breakfast may be enjoyed here. With notice, we offer private
dinner parties and box lunches.
